Ultrasonic flow
Ultrasonic flow meters are used for precise measurement of liquid flow in piping systems without the need for intrusive installation. The measurement is carried out using ultrasonic signals that detect the velocity of the liquid flowing through the pipe and thereby calculate the flow rate.
This type of flow meter is typically mounted externally on the pipe as a so-called clamp-on solution, making installation fast, flexible, and completely non-intrusive, with no interruption to operations or processes. Ultrasonic flow meters are available both as portable instruments for temporary measurements and as fixed installations for continuous monitoring.
Ultrasonic flow measurement is widely used in industries such as manufacturing, HVAC, water treatment, marine applications, and process plants, where monitoring and controlling liquid flow is critical. The technology is suitable for measuring water, chemicals, oil products, and other liquids in closed piping systems.
